Rotary Club of Ballarat

TAFE Excellence Awards Gallery

Last week President Elect Alan Smith represented the Club at the Federation University TAFE Awards for Excellence (previously as the Craftsperson Awards)

Our Club has been presenting Craftsperson awards (originally Craftsman Awards)  Firstly, at Ballarat Technical since the mid1950's. As that institution has changed identity over the years we have continued to partner it in its present guise of Federation University and the City of Ballarat. Apprentices receive the Certificate recognising their skills and graduation in their chosen field.

President Elect Alan Smith presented  a cheque for $1,000.00 to the recipient of The Rotary Club of Ballarat Endeavour Award.

This award is granted to a student who:

displays a conscientious and consistent approach to their studies

-  Is enterprising

-  Has a record of sound achievement, and a determination to succeed

-  A student who is actively engaged with their community, and reflects the Rotary ethics of truth, fairness, and goodwill in their conduct.

This year the award was presented to Toby Bilston for studies in the Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade.
