Evan King - CEO City of Ballarat and our newest Honorary Member.

Rotarian Samantha McIntosh introduced Evan as the new Council appointed permanent Executive Officer of the City of Ballarat, he commenced his role 15th February 2021.

Evan is a long-term Ballarat resident, graduated from Federation University with a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), is a qualified Certified Practicing Accountant and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Outside of work he is married with three daughters. He is the President and life member of the Ballarat Athletic
Club and a member of the Stawell Gift Hall of Fame.

Prior to commencing his career in local government, he held senior positions with the Salvation Army as the Business Manager for Western Victoria, Finance Manager at Mars Wrigley Australia, and Friction Materials Pacific.

His local government experience includes four years as Hepburn Shire's General Manager of Corporate Services,
CEO at Hepburn Shire, Director of Corporate and Community Services at Pyrenees Shire Council.

Evan is also on the Leadership team of Women's Health Grampians Communities of Respect and Equality.

He is excited by the opportunity to serve as CEO of the City of Ballarat, and during his address outlined some of the vision for the City of Ballarat including Corporate Services: Infrastructure of roads, completion of the
Ballarat West Road Project, management of waste a priority a need for recycling not burying waste. Community wellbeing and to improve customer services to restore faith in Council.

Engage with communities and include cultural diversity, In the arts and events: promote tourism, and any events in the city. Development of the City with strategic planning and growth in areas. Rebuilding of a new Ballarat Animal Shelter.
