Rotary Club of Ballarat

About

President's Message

As we embark on another exciting year at the Ballarat Rotary Club, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our achievements and share our vision for the future.

Following the impacts of COVID and enormous challenges impacting Springfest, Swap Meet and many other Rotary fundraising opportunities, our previous year's accomplishments have reflected the resilience, strength, and commitment of our club.

Some successful projects, fundraisers, and community involvement included successful delivery through:

  • Milk drive for the Soup Bus
  • Phoenix Force Blue project
  • Youth science forum
  • Winston Loveland music award
  • Celebrating Women's Success Events
  • Continued work through Rotary Foundation and our international committees
  • Springfest raffle and trotting event and much more.

As we move forward, our mission remains unwavering - to make a positive impact on our community and the world. This year, we have several exciting initiatives in the pipeline:

1. Burns support through our Foundation and International Committee

2. A new look Springfest series of events: supporting many local schools, community groups and local makers providing fundraising, community support and healthy community engagement.

3. Celebrating Women's Success: delivering a continued series of seasonal events to strive for balanced membership, membership retention and an exciting and engaging program for our membership.

We're committed to fostering fellowship and camaraderie among our members and with these examples of our club's activities, we look forward to also attracting new membership to participate in our upcoming events and social gatherings.

I want to express my gratitude to each one of our club members for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering support. Rotary is not just an organization; it's a community of like-minded individuals striving to make a difference. Together, we can achieve great things and spread hope around the world.

If you have any ideas, suggestions, or if you'd like to get more involved in our projects, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your input is invaluable.

Let's make this year another memorable one for our club, our community, and ourselves as we prepare for the 100-year celebration in 2025.

Thank you for being a part of the Ballarat Rotary Club. Together, we will continue to create hope and be the change-makers our world needs.

Yours in Rotary Service,

Samantha McIntosh
