What a night we all had at Oscars this past Thursday.

The Oscars function room was resplendent in its Rotary blue and yellow themed table settings along with our club charter and picture of Queen Elizabeth II proudly on display.

It was certainly true that many hands make light work as the evening ran very smoothly thanks to the involvement of a large number of club members in planning the evening and on the night.

Special mention Past President Alan Smith and Secretary Judy Pickford for assisting Maureen and Warren to organize the evening along with MC Alan Campbell who quickly reverted to his old role as school principal to keep the evening ticking along with good humor.

The formalities of the evening went off without a hitch. The induction of President Warren was certainly a highlight.

Another highlight was the presentation of Paul Harris Recognitions to Nicole Bartlett and club member Voi Williams.

Both Nicole and Voi were equally surprised and somewhat speechless at being awarded such an honour.
