What a fantastic site greeted the thousands of people who visited our Carols by Candlelight Market at the Ballarat showgrounds on Sunday the 18th of Dec. With over 100 stalls and an extensive range of food vans, visitors to the market were able to select from an amazing array of items for their Christmas stockings. The success of the day certainly helped erase the memories from last year's storm which caused the market to be cancelled at the last minute. A huge vote of thanks to Rob Glass, David Torrington, Peter Dunn, Nicole Bartlett and all of the volunteers from both our club and our community partners who worked extremely hard to make the market such a success. The accounts for the market are being finalised, however members may be interested to learn that the 'gold coin' donation totaled $1420. A wonderful gesture from the very generous Ballarat community.
