Nepal -Jeremy Bannister 2023_02_02 Gallery

Jeremy Bannister is a founding member of the Ballarat-based charity 'Aussie Action Abroad'. The organisation selects projects to improve the lives of impoverished communities of Nepal then forms appropriate groups of volunteers to travel to Nepal and deliver those projects.
It is very much a grassroots organisation which works in collaboration with community groups who in-turn work with the volunteers to deliver their individual projects. Jeremy's presentation accompanied revealing photographic montage of the poverty, the beauty, the tragedy and the warmth and engagement of the local people.
Aussie Action Abroad have delivered tens of thousands of volunteer hours to deliver the projects over the last 20 years. On a lighter note, was that a picture of Alan Campbell impersonating a sherpa!!
