It was a privilege to present Peter Dean with a certificate to celebrate his 20 years of service to the Rotary Club of Ballarat. We are all thrilled to recognize Peter's service in support of all elements of Rotary activity.

Peter Grigg, Executive Officer of the Ballarat Business Centre (BBC) was our guest speaker last week. Peter recently joined the BBC and generously provided members with an overview of the BBC along with his views on the future direction of the Centre. BBC has been in operation for 21 years as a not-for-profit community asset. It supports new and emerging businesses to navigate the challenges of be- coming sustainable over their first few years. BBC operates four premises across Ballarat; including an industrial start up factory. An additional feature of BBC is its support for virtual clients. Peter emphasized the alignment between the goals of the BBC and the City of Ballarat's five areas of development including data transformation, BWEZ, the circular economy, creative city and health care. Peter is keen to increase the community's awareness of the role and function of BBC, to update its services to better meet client needs, to accelerate its role in developing technology and entrepreneurship and to establish new partnerships.
